Bungendore Top Town!
Congratulations to Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and the Bungendore community on winning Gold in the Small Tourism Town category (population between 1500 and 5000) at Australia’s Top Tourism Town Awards 2025.
The NSW Government announced a $5 million upgrade for Merimbula Airport to extend the runway to support larger aircraft and unlock new opportunities for the South Coast.
Reflections Bermagui hosted the AFLW GWS GIANTS team for a training weekend. Players participated in cultural learning with Aboriginal Umbarra Biripi woman Lynne Thomas, climbed the summit of Gulaga mountain, trained on Bermagui Beach and had a kick with local kids.

Tourism Impact Surveys | Have Your Say
Share your thoughts, via the two surveys links below, on how tourism in the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley shires affects daily life, and how the new Mountain Bike Trails (MBT) influence your community. Your feedback will help us better understand the value tourism and mountain biking bring to the region, while also identifying opportunities for improvement.

The NSW Government has released the refreshed NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2035, which sets an ambitious target of $91B in visitor expenditure by 2035, supported by 8.5M aviation seats, 40,000 new hotel rooms, and 150,000 jobs. The strategy outlines five key pillars and a staged growth path to drive sustainable, industry-led growth in the visitor economy.
